This plane can land rolling and standing between 2 trees on longholmen.

The CV90 IFV and also, but not officially seen, APC (It can carry up to 8 fully equipped troops + 3 crewmen!) The CV90 is seen as the most advanced in the world, yes Puma has armor but CV90 has waaayyy firepower, a Bofors 40mm L70 gun with different types of ammunition that covers the whole battlefield scenario! Then the heavily armored chassis is not far at all from Puma standards, and its cheaper than the Puma!!!
But of course, Puma is also an exceptional IFV/APC

You do have to remember the Hornet is an aircraft for the navy, and navy fighters have almost never been as good as their land-based cousins (only ones I can think of are the F-4 Phantom and the A6M Zero).
You can't really compare the two. But if you did, the Gripen would win. ;-P

I'm extremely proud of the Gripen, the CV90, and things like that. They really are top-of-the-line. Sure, the German Puma is more capable than the CV90, but it also costs about twice as much! And sure, the American, F-22 is far better than the Gripen - but it costs SIX TIMES AS MUCH - not counting the service and running costs, which are extremely cheap for the Gripen. And I'd rather have six Gripens than one F-22! =P |
