The Tsar Bomba blast was watched from about 100-120 miles away. The fireball was five miles wide, detonated from 2.5 miles up and touched the ground. The explosion could be seen and heard from 620 miles away, in Finland shattering windows there. It ignited material 62 miles away. The mushroom cloud was 7 times taller then Everest. The event was filmed from high-altitude about 20 or so miles away. And this was detonated in the North Sea. It was equivalent to 1.4% of the suns daily output.
