My comments were not ignorant! Other musicians shape their own sound from their influences but i feel Noel didn't do this, he just blatantly stole from his influences,now that's just my opinion, just because it differs from yours don't mean i'm ignorant,just a clash of opinions! As for lyrically Noel being one of the finest songwriters of all time i just can't agree with that! Which songs of his are you referring to? Dylan, Lennon, morrissey, weller, bono etc...now they're great songwriters!

I respect your opinion, now here's mine: Its pretty ignorant saying that Oasis did nothing original. They have a very unique sound. Everyone musician has influences and it shows in their music. Even the Beatles reproduced what black musicians already had in the US. Noel Gallagher took his inspirations from other artists and made something out of it as ALL other musicians did. Lyrically, Noel Gallagher is the one of the finest songwriters of his time. ALL artists have high and low points.

Not true. On 2004's Studio 150, Weller covered One Way Road which was originally the B-Side to Who Feels Love. Weller's version was also used as the theme tune to Jack Dee's Lead Balloon.

Um, Paul Weller is sounding like Cat Stevens these days. Tune, for sure, but the hippie resemblance is a bit off putting.

that's what great about music,difference of opinion,there is some great music out there but as you've taken time to watch this video the song is over 25yrs old and the modfather is genius and so is Noel Gallagher,what makes Oasis different from alot of other bands is they create music for themselves now,not to please the 'fashion music'idiots, but then that's just my opinion :-)
