Exactly. Back in the 60s and 70s, a song could go to the top of the charts because of the lyrics, even if the song is only average. Today, it just has to be accessible to be popular, instead of good.

Its unfortunate music today cant have the same effect that music back then had. Music then had meaning. Todays music is just made so kids will buy their CD's. I know this and I'm only 18.
