well, i surf okinawa. which is a gigantic piece of coral basically. but the reef breaks are really crazy.
they almost always have waves but when they get
big, you can't really predict how it will break.
it often breaks otop itself and the very top and then
the white water slides down the rest of the wave
very seldom do we have nice barrels.
and no. we don't live in fear of typhoons.

I've been watching surfing videos all night. The surfing breaks at this beach are interesting. The waves seems to accelerate and tumble down uniformly. Can any one who has surfed the Japanese break provide any insight? If I'm correct, how does that effect the way you surf it? Thanks.
