I don't think this song could ever be improved on, only 'covered'. It's the most yearning, most perfect song about loss and struggling with grief. You can feel it in every note and every word, that begging you do when you lose someone. I asked my partner that if I should go before him, this song should be played at my funeral. Not that I'd notice. Bein' dead an' all. But I would like people to be REALLY depressed when I die.

her music video is more to the point of the song,maxwell's is more surreal,which i do like.but kate's version of the video is more deeper,and thought provoking,it articulates the song well.

some of her songs almost reduce me to tears! i defy anyone to find a more haunting and unique female artist. having grown up with kates music these songs bring back awsome memories. Such a fantastic and overwhelming voice and a truly beautiful woman.

U serious? I think they both did great Maxwell did his with soul and Kate did her's with her voice which is nice but when you hear Maxwell do this live it's like "Damn."

I think people need not to compare this song to the Maxwell song that much though. Two entirely different feels to the song.
