I really don't get this. For a 72 year old I guess it's fine, but you have to be a fan to appreciate this. There is not a lot of variety in his singing, mostly loudish and to me he is not conveying the meaning of the song.

The "high" notes are E naturals, indicating that it is in C-major.

Cool beans. Any idea of what key he's singing in? The copy of the music I have is in E flat. I think I need it in a lower key in order to hit those high notes at the end.

I believe this looks like it was from "A Tribute to Jerome Hines" in Alice Tully Hall, Julliard School, December 14, 1996. I was there. Sam Ramey and Robert Merrill sang on this tribute. I was there. |
