Steven Gerrard certainly is an important factor why Liverpool have managed to consistently finish within the Big Four because without him Liverpool would probably settle for UEFA Cup football. He is a quality player, I would not rank him amongst the best in the world but currently, he is certainly one of the best players in Britain, if not the best at the moment.
