Holy shit. That's some nice playing.

do you not need to have emotions to enjoy.
Zboots (September 29, 2008 at 10:59 pm)
Jeez people, just enjoy it. If you don't like it there is PLENTY more other stuff to watch on youtube!

Haha, why do people on youtube always end up fighting.. :P Just try and argue about the music they play, not about who's better..I think it's a insult to Joshco to say Django is way, way better. Even if he is; Joshco plays this wonderful! :) And I think he does put emotion in it, cause I sure do feel it..

(cont'd) Of course he isn't-no impersonator could be, but that aside, by your own logic he isn't because we hear about him about 100th as often as Django.
*'Just because Django is dead doesn't mean he'll never be beaten'? So you took from my comment, 'Django's dead, so he'll . . never be beaten'? . . I don't really understand that bit.
*Django's better. Ever heard him? He's way, way better. Like Joshco, but way, way better.
. . . anyway, you get the idea.

(Sighhhh). This is boring, so I'll just choose a few reasons why you're a fool then move on to something more interesting:
*Yeah, I'm 'namedropping' the most well known Gypsy jazz players around today-it's just cause I want to impress people on youtube that I don't know at all and will never meet.
*Never hear about him cause he's not relevant? are you suggesting Joshco is more relevant? This poor impersonator is more relevant than than subject of his impersonation?

Enjoying namedropping there, sport? Just because Django is dead doesn't mean he'll never be beaten, you know. I bet he was the bee's knees back in the day, but whether you are willing to see it or not, the modern times are jsut as good if not better when it comes to musicianship. I mean, do you know why we never hear about Django anymore in anywhere but some guitar fans' deluded daydreams? HE'S NOT RELEVANT! Joscho plays cirles and various other geometrical shapes around him.

Na sorry mate-all technique, no emotion. If you can't see that, go back to listening to Paul Gilbert. I'm not hating, but he has no ideas-great chops, but no ideas. I don't doubt he really enjoys playing-I can see THAT-but that doesn't mean he's putting emotion into it.

No, it's neither-it's Django's Tiger, like the title says. |
