Isn't it amazing how many people thought he was an ideal replacement for Makelele? Even Beckham was spouting off about this when he signed for Madrid. The fact is, Gravesen has never been able to tackle and Madrid were confusing him with Lee Carsley (or some fictional combination of the two). Everton lost their most creative player and Madrid signed somebody that did not meet their needs.

that is true, but he didnt fit in with the prima donna's either as he was a hardworker while alot of the team didnt do much. Which led to him fallin out with alot of the team.

he was the playmaker in everton and in Danmark's national team when he came to Madrid he played another position...i think that's why he couldn't show his actual game..
