This one is my wife and my song when we first meet. Goes back to 1972. Had it on quarter inch tape, one of those players that used about a 2 inch reel and portable. That is how old it is. AND it is great, then still great now.

My Fav song by my Fav singer/songwriter HOWEVER, Kris has another version that Totally SURPASSES this recording. Kris made it in 1997 when he was about 61. It's here on YouTube just search for "Kristofferson 1997" I've played it a thousand times already just myself. Enjoy, and I'd welcome your feedback.

A master songwriter at his best. One of the best of his generation. What a song.

steve, you probably know he was a Rhodes scholar and a lit major. And plain brilliant. Some of the greatest songs ever written.

Underated in the sense there are so many people who do not realize he has written some of the greatest songs in the past 50 years. Bobby McGee, Help Me Make It Through The Night, and For The Good Times are just the most obvious examples but he has written poetry that will probably be taught in college English literature classes someday. |
