THE FLYING SAUCERS AND ME Directed by Tim Burton Written by Tim Burton and Leonard Ripps Synopsis: A dream, an obsession, flying saucers and a terrible disease that can destroy everything. In 1983,Tim Burton and Leonard Ripps started a project named " The flying saucers and me". It narrated the life and works of Tetsuo Lumiére, a not very talented film director who wanted to make a film about flying saucers alike The War of the Worlds. But the project was never made. In 1994,Burton took that idea to make Ed Wood, a film about an untalented film director who wants to make impressive science fiction films. Nothing remained of that 1983 project but a six minute work in progress which was filmed that same year in different video formats. In 1984, a year later, Tim Burton and Leonard Ripps wrote FRANKENWEENIE, a short film directed by Tim Burton. Nowadays, Leonard Ripps is trying to advance this project. Cast: Tetsuo Lumière, Flor Smayenka, Olga Nani, Anna Carina, Nataly Kim, Claudia Schijman, Adrian Goldberger, Jorgelina Santambrosio, Daniel Cler, Natalia Carando, Walter Gabazzi, Amauri Sola, Evelyn Bliman, Ygnacio Cervio, Ernesto Suazo, Daniel De La Vega, Gregory Keleshian. http://www.timburtontheflyings...

A complete print of Fritz Lang's 1927 epic film "Metropolis" was found in Buenos Aires, Argentina this summer. One-fourth of the film was considered "irretrievably lost."

I don't care if it was done by a douche or if it was done by T. Burton, it was creative and funny without being cheap humour. And it kind of reminded me of Chaplin, to be honest.
