The original (and best) source movie for this story was the Tamil film "Nattamai", then it got remade in Telugu as "Peddarayudu", then in Kannada as "Simhadriya Simha", and then to Hindi as "Bullandi". For the original "Nattamai", it was produced by Super Good Films (RB Chowdary), and KS Ravikumar.
