While playing for Romania against Scotland in April 2004, he recklessly tackled Celtic defender John Kennedy, resulting in a knee injury that left Kennedy unable to play for 3 years. Disrupting, and ruining a very promising career of the young Scotland debutant. Ganea should have been charged with assault by police as there was no intention on Ganea's part to win the ball, and Ganea should have been banned from football as a result of deliberately trying to end a young player's career.

MULTUMIM GANEA !!!! ce a facut el trebuia facut la timisoara....poate nu din cauza meciului cu rapid...din cauza ca poli timp de 20 ani a fost furata fest de arbitrii...bravo Ganea !!!
