Jaco knew how to read music also(not just tabs). It helps to improve you're playing to have that skill under your belt.

That was great.

you're absolutly right :-) tabs won't show you the "feeling"

I totally agree. I bought a jaco tab book and fell on my face. The groove comes from the notes he doesn't play. that 16th note stacatto.

That is a great funky riff. Tabs won't do you any good because the essence of the riff is not the actual notes but the timing and the rhythm. You could play the exact same notes, which aren't that complex, and sound nothing like it. At the same time you could make up your own note combination and play it with the same feel and timing and sound just as good.

It makes me sad to see so many players asking for tabs. In my early playing days (early 70's) there were no tabs. We figured everything out by ear or made up our own lines. Notice how when you ask all these great players they say "no Tabs". If you want to be really good stop using Tabs and play what's inside you. Reliance on Tabs is a dead end and will hold you back from the next level of playing.

Up until 3:38 when you hear a few angelic tones of The World's Greatest Bass Player, the music part has got nothing to do with JFP3. So, no tablature. Sorry mate.
