There is one reason the war zone he visited was quiet enough to welcome him: the surge. We shouldn't be waging these wars, and if we do, and we tell the people that we are going to help them...we shouldn't kill them. Tell the Iraqis we are going to help them and then destroy the country, every person there has dead family members, and we promised them a good life.

The work the USA does to help some people in certain impoverished countries does not negate the validity of the observations of Wright. For example, if charity has been given to some starving Ethiopians, it does not mean anything to Vietnamese who were burned to death by napalm bombing. That is why we see a love and hate relationship of the US and the world.

daft? lol. curvysarah you and reverend Wright are absolutely WRONG. The USA does more to help impoverished human beings than any country on the planet. Anyone that would equate United States policy to Osama Bin Laden not only is a horrible American but is uninformed to say the very least.
