Few can sing this aria well.
Only a handful of singers can also make you feel the character.
Fewer, and maria Callas is among them, are so great that when I'm listening at an aria like this I simply cannot imagine anything but what they are singing. I'm captured.

Es gab nie eine bessere Sängerin und es wird sie nie geben!!! So authentisch, so mitreissend und so voller Emotionen!!!!!!! Selbst nach 100 mal Hören gibt es immer wieder eine Gänsehaut!! In Bezug auf Gesang wird Maria Callas immer unerreichbar bleiben!!Wirklich einfach göttlich!!

I dont know much about opera but I know this lady had a phenominal voice and her emotion...i would have loved to see her sing this!!!
