Leave this on YouTube, it is excellent! I am following events from Greece and this sensible, articulate piece made me realise that it is tme to come "home" and join the fight for freedom, just renewed my SNP membership on-line and have set up a direct-debit. Now, a flight to dear Glasgow. You have done a wonderful thing here. Echfaristo kai eleftheria yia Skotia!!!!

Old Shettleston Road - my first address; the Drum - I worked there as a barman during Summer holidays. The Tigers, Davie O'Hara, the Sheriff, Tartan Special - that was Shettleston.

I understand your nostalgia for the socialist ideal - but the grim reality never matched the dream. And when did you ever find Tories that were opposed to nuclear weapons, opposed to the Iraq War, committed to Scotland's pensioners, etc., etc., etc.? The SNP and their leader stand for all of these things, and more. Tartan Tories my arse!

Changing British Tories / Nu Lab for Tartan Tories (SNP)won't solve the problems of working people. Socialism is still the goal!

Its a great video and needs to be kept online as the issues are still relevant after Glasgow east.

Leave it up, Latefocus. After all, Cyberspace appears to be infinite!
I'm sure it did inspire some "East Glaswegians", but I think the message is also valid for wider application and can serve the same purpose in the struggle to come.
You describe a personal "voyage" which you certainly have in common with many in this country, but it is particularly effective because you are obviously speaking from the heart.
And sincerity is a rare commodity in politics these days ...

Thank you LateFocus!
You did the RIGHT THING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I was about to take my little video down, now that its purpose has been achieved, but to my surprise, people are still viewing it. I hope it had some tiny influence of the voters of Glasgow East.
