How would you feel to live in your own country as second class citizen? To witness your rights being taken away by foreigners? If not try to think for a second about yourself in this situation? Would it look normal to your eyes, or would you cry for freedom at any cost? When lord Mountbatten told Gandhi : "if we just leave there will be chaos" You know what Gandhi replied? he simply said: "yes but it will be our chaos" First world with no respect to human right? I'll settle for a third world.

WHAT he has done is turn a first world country into third world. law and order fell apart from 1994.

What has he done??? He fought for something he believes in till the end. Yes he deserves to be praised. What have you done? It is good to honor every great men and women who with their courage, and passion have made an impact in this world. Mandela, Gandhi, MLK need to be honored as well as Einstein, Newton, Armstrong and many more. So stop with the negative comments and go learn a few things

He was a massive supporter of trying to eliminate apartheid in south africa... He was imprisoned to a life sentance for high treason as he was found guilty of setting up a terrorist organization to overthrough the South African government.. obviously he was not a "terrorist" like what we think a terrorist is today but he did support the abolishtion of apartheid in South Africa and did everthing in his power to abolish it.

wonder if men like albert einstein or any other men who invented or created something for the human race has been honored like this man? is this the best whe can come up with??? what has he really done expect for spending 27 years in prison, he has reached 90 years, looks like prison life was not that bad. just imagine if he was in a cuban prison all that time. just need to set the record striaght.
