I've been looking for the same stuff too and yes it's hard to know where to begin. But I'm lucky to have stumbled upon the Silk Road Ensemble. They play music to be found along the long stretch of the Asian continent. Hope this helps.

2:14 = goosebumps. I remember hearing that part of the soundtrack when I saw the movie as a child and it always stuck with me. I believe the first time you hear it is when Pu Yi is running after his wet nurse, or is it his friend? Anyway, great to be able to see the man himself performing it here!
