Duffy is the son of the great Chubby Jackson. I saw Duffy in Nice with the Illinois Jacquet Orchestra. Duffy is a real character. Scat sings geat to.

Basie began to flip the beat around 5:08 and confirmed the flip with a strong chord around 5:12. The bass player heard it and quickly compensated by following Basie. The drummer, who was too absorbed in his solo, wasn't listening, so at the end of his 2 choruses of blues, he came out on the other side of the beat compared to Basie. The bass player turned to the drummer to correct him and he quickly corrected. This stuff happens all the time.
