The govt should get rid of the safety net when it outlaws the safety net of personal irresponsibility called "the corporation" or incorporating (making "live") businesses as artificial individual human beings. American workers fought these battles in the 1800's to mid-1900's and beyond, against govt backed economic tyranny.

Obama voted to renew funding for the war in Iraq, as well as extending the so-called PATRIOT Act. Do some research on it! And all those high-sounding words about changing Washington and attacking the lobbyists? Go check his biggest campaign contributers! Big banks!

He was a Senate candidate at the time, and as such said he opposed the BushCult $87 billion war budget. Hillary voted for it. Congress required a signed letter from Bush stating that Saddam had an active role in 9/11 or he would get no funds. He DID sign it, you can see it online at the WH web site. Later Bush was taped saying "No, we've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with September the 11th." So he lied. No news there.
