Yeah pretty much, your TV has to have the HDMI port though.

To confirm... If I get a PC with an HDMI output, can I hook it up to my TV, so I can use my PC essentially on my TV?

Awesome! Thanks man:)

Yes, pretty much all HDMI cables deliver the same quality of video and parts. Usually the difference in price is the difference in materials used to make the cable.

So does it matter what HDMI cable I get? Will one HDMI cable work for my HDTV and consoles when used apart?

Okay, thanks.

There is no such thing as HDMI picture. HDMI is the cable that is used to transmit a HD signal.

So what's the difference between an HDMI picture and an HD picture?

HDMI or Passthrough? I read this regarding an Onkyo HTIB receiver."means that video and audio are passed-through the HDMI like its a switch, the audio is not processed by the receiver and is sent through the HDMI to the HDMI source"..."I ended up getting a couple of optical cables and that is how the sound comes through from my HDMI devices" Guess hes saying that the audio isnt processed by the 5.1 receiver til he used optical cables? Can u xplain plz? Looking 2 buy a HTIB. Thx

No if you have a normal tv that does not have any of those connectors, then it is a non HD tv. |
