I still prefer TeslaMotors. 4s to 100km/h, all electric.

Not where I live in New Jersey. Our local company PSE$G produces electricity from the nuclear power plants in Salem, New Jersey. So your coal burning plants should go wind or nuclear and then it would make sense.

Electric cars might be extra emissions? You're obviously a moron who is unable to understand what we are talking about. Also, burning coal isn't the only way to make electricity, nor is the electricity produced by it nearly as expensive as gasoline. I do prefer clean energy though, and agree that coal has got to go.

Sure it is a pain right now but what about mass production, we really need to get off oil !!!!!!

There are actually many grasses, weeds, and pods which are used to produce alcohol which would never be used for feed.
Schneebuddy (July 19, 2008 at 8:56 pm)
You can buy the alcohol if you please in fifty-five gallon barrels for around $2(USD) if you can not make you own here in the states.
Schneebuddy (July 19, 2008 at 8:52 pm)
There is a brewery in a town nearby which produces 100,000 gallons of alcohol/ month from the waste after the beer has been made. All you need is a heat source and, organic material which has a high sugar content, corn is just one crop, and by far not the best for alcohol.
Schneebuddy (July 19, 2008 at 8:36 pm)
Well the deal is, if you have the resources to produce alcohol, you can blend it 1:1 with your gas fuel and save money at the pump. At night you can also run a small generator on alcohol to charge your electric car if you please, or take it with you in a tank and, develop you own hybrid. You could also put a small alcohol engine in this air car once the technology has been developed.

Ethenol isn't better. Corn goes up, feed goes up, food goes up. We're screwed no matter what. |
