i love maynard! but im not really a huge fan of the squeeling trumpet, i find it annoying some times. but yes he is truly one of the most awesome trumped players ever!

I got to see MF back in the late '70s and it was incredible. One of the best jazz concerts ever and a memorable oportunity. He always surrounded himself with some of the best young talent available.

I hate when people say he just showed off. There are a few trumpet players that deserved to show off. And Maynard was at the top. Hell, if he didn't show off (Show his awesomeness), then he would never play any high notes or anything.
*Sigh* MF was great. Nobody will be greater lol.
