I'm also glad I got to fly inside the DC-10 a few times before they took them off the commercial airline market. I'd have to say the DC-10 is one of the most unsafe designs to have any trouble with. If you sit anywhere in the back during an accident, your chances of survival lessen the farther back you go. I'd rather be up in the fron since the explosion will most likely start from the engines and go back, if the plane is moving forward upon level impact. The 727 is better than the DC-10 I think

One thing that really sucks about being a pilot is you cannot see the wings! That was always my favorite part and thing to watch ever since childhood during landing and take off, but that wont stop me from starting flight school. Once you get up in the air, it's all fun. Travelling is fun in general. I remember how I used to always look forward to connecting flights as a kid, just to make the experience longer. One time I connected 3 times. I was in heaven!

to me looks they were compensating, but they straighten the plane before touch down;it's like released opposite aileron together with ruder a bit earlier.. (i think..)

my mistake, i should not have said WORST for landing, they are one of many situations i would not want to see myself in.

my dads a pilot and he says he does crosswind landings all the time
i would develop a phobia, i dont know how he does it.. it seems merely impossible to do that for a living

OMG that was so close the wings were few feet aways from hitting the ground. awesome pilot kudos to him, but he had to abort landing lol. some really bad crosswinds there mate.
