True, Cori, but I was specifically referring to RS's supposed rating of him as fastest bass player ever. Not that playing fast makes you great either, but I was just pointing out that there are faster (and IMHO, better) bass players for sure. Then again, consider the source ... Rolling Stone's top Guitar players of all time was a joke/travesty. But anyway, I definitely admire Mark's style and his vision to bring that funk/bass sound strongly into the pop arena.

well its a matter of opinion and taste too .. for myself Mark has always been more the enough .. just 'something about him' ;) !

Nothing against his bass playing, or the song -- I think both are great. But have they ever seen Geddy Lee tear up his bass? And he is so clean while he's doing it. Or countless others. Mark is good, but not a great.

I just found It's Over and listened to it for the first time. Very pretty song, not the best song to listen to after you been stood up for a date.
