many people do say figure skating is a dangerous sport...but really it isnt ive been figureskating almost all my life. being dropped doesnt hurt that much after about the 7th time it happens...you get use to it. everytime you fall durning a jump...its just like in practice...you always fall. I just finished working on a double axel and sure it hurt to fall at first but now when i fall it doesnt hurt. how do you think we learn..practice makes perfect and sometime you fall.

yeah i am fine now and am training like nothing happened. my blade went through my leg and resulted in 2 surgeries cuz the blade fractured my tibia and severed 2 tendons then i had to have a knee surgery from falling on my knee funny repeatedly.

but, what people forget is that in snowplow sam, you get taught how to fall so you don't break anything. I've had my fair share of falls in the past, but no surgeries or anything. just bruises. now with couples, that is true that they are worse. because you've got a girl balancing on about 6 inches of hand 5-6 feet in the air; now thats what you call dangerous. and thats what keeps me away from pairs.

i skate and have had to have 3 surgeries from it and am still going....its dangerous but totally worth it i would say. its an amazing sport

the couples falls are the worst. you could get paralyzed from those.

I know..I loved skating...did it for 4 years but..too much was going on with school and stuff so i had to take a "leave" as a call it

if your desperate at learning something you have to take the risks right? i tried ice skating before it was kinda hard at first but got used to it but im definitely not good at it in roller skating probably better!
