I was being sarcastic... it doesn't matter what guitar you play. I personally don't have the guitar bug. Tone comes from your hands. But guitars are fun things to be interested in. Over and out.

He has a great tone for sure, but I'm more interested in creating my own. But sure, what about Goldtops? What do you guys think about those? Also in the Epiphone-edition.

Yeah, make sure you get that Epiphone cause thats the secret to having a tone like Otis'!!!!
PhilipSkovgaard (August 26, 2008 at 2:18 pm)
Yep, that's the one. Thank you. I have seen it before, but I forgot which one it was. Thanks again.

Epiphone Riviera

thejugglenaut91, back in the day, epiphone was not owned by gibson and made some good guitars, even today they make their own very very good valued guitars comparable to a regular gibson

Looks cool, doesn't it? And it sounds even better! It is a Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, Gibson-made Epiphone Riviera. It is the same or a similar guitar he is pictured with on the front of his album "Mourning in the Morning".
PhilipSkovgaard (August 24, 2008 at 8:20 am)
Well, as a first, the big "E", on the pickguard suggests that is in fact an Epiphone. Also the writing on the head of the guitar. It's not an 335, because of the saddle by the strings. Anybody else?
thejugglenaut91 (August 23, 2008 at 6:03 pm)
Epiphone? Are you out of your mind? Ever heard of gibson? It's probably just a 335 or something

Does that guitar Otis' playing have a name? I can see it's an Epiphone, but other than that... |
