I would say based on longevity of his career and overall quality....Elton John. Can't argue with the numbers: Over 300 million album sales, 60+ Top Forty Billboard hits, several Grammy awards, an Academy Award (for Lion King), etc.

I don't think Elton John should be in there. He is a wonderful musician, songwriter and performer but not a great vocalist. Peabo Bryson and Luther Vandross both have very beautiful voices.
