Yes, of course, they were great. But Björk's music now has more reason to be. (sorry i just can't explain it in english). The sugarcubes are cool, but Björk is better.

C'mon, there's some seriously good music behind bjork in the sugarcubes. The bass playing may be trooper like, but the writing, and ultimately the execution, of it is great. Horns are great. Guitar is good and appropriate. Just get rid of the b-52's guy (yeah, he said "they were just sideburns") and everything would be swell.

One of the most ground-breaking piece of music ever set to vinyl. I remember when I first heard this, must be nearly 20 years ago, now, and thought that the purlieus of rock expression had been extended just a little further. Wonderful.
