Prestige! Prestige! Prestige! Otherwise, every college in the World has the same books and the same ideas to teach.

Dude -
As a Cornell grad, I think the video was fine. It is not like he pretended to snipe kids on "Libe Slope" or something.
There is always 1. transfers or 2. grad school. Burning paper purges the soul.

Come on! Those who got accepted in Cornell (or their school of choice) are glad they didn't have to live this moment, and thoses who didn't can relate to it.

First of all, I see it as an affront to my alma mater and really don't see any humor in it. I do see he's trying to make a point but he could have made it more respectfully. I was rejected by many places but I did not burn a Stanford brochure and post it just to insult Stanford. Second, there's a right to free speech. xsource can post his views and so can I. I might be a tad harsh by calling him a loser (my apologies to him) but I won't feel bad calling you an ass.

to respond to the person who said "sore loser" what is your problem? First, clearly this was a joke type clip. Second, you clearly don't know how it feels to be rejected from a school that you loved so much so shut up.

Is it really that it matters that lot in the U.S. which university you graduated from to get a decent job ? In Germany it matters very little...if your grades are excellent you will get nearly any job you want.

Thanks for watching! :)
I'm glad you went to Cornell, hope you saw the article published in the Cornell Daily Sun about my video!

I bet some of the so called "cornellians" who said it's better to be rejected are just bitter that they were either not up to the competition at cornell or just bitter at being rejected. Cornell is a great school and i did well there and i learned better with smart ppl. It isn't any colder than boston or nyc and there's plenty of time to do interesting stuff if you know how to manage your time and be efficient. sorry xsource, you're just a whining sore loser. |
