I saw the movie everybody told her stuff because they thought she was deaf and at the end they found out she wasnt and she heard everything they told her

saw the movie the first time, and it was hard to fathom the belle character being deaf and mute, and after the ending tragedy, she just snapped out of it and i realized she was not really deaf. seeing it again, i realized her father was deaf, and he got in a fatal accident, and she was mimicking him. great movie, as it depicts incest in its true harshness, and depravity. kind of felt sorry for the boy, in that he truely believed the girl was deaf, and was obviously hurt at the end by the truth.
