WALL-E UK Premiere

London: 13 July 2008 www.lsq.tv for all premieres. Mechanical devices in the Square today. A lovely sunny Sunday afternoon as the setting for this Disney premiere about a lovable robot - think Star Wars' R2D2 meets Dr. Who's K9. Sigourney Weaver voices the lead and she looked tres elegant in a jet black high waist day-dress right out of Channel central casting. Being the sole A lister she was kept moving by the valets and not everyone got signed or their two heads pictures. Lots of other celebs on show though. Biggest scream-fest went to young George Sampson -- body popping winner of Britain's Got Talent. The ladies in the crowd went wild. The adorable Wall-E himself pressed the flesh on the carpet and gave several interviews that were less mechanical than most of those I've seen from Jean- Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
