This 80's movie directed by Joel Schumacher tells a story about a group of friends from Georgetown, struggling with passion, love, friendship, and their future after graduation. Lots of Brat Pack members joined the cast of "St. Elmo's Fire". It stars Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Andrew McCarthy, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Mare Winningham. BTW I love the theme song by David Foster.

...there was a different kind of live on 80´s. A different vision, yet with a little bit of innocence. After war of gulf ("war of oil"), the innocence its over... :(

David Foster is the King Midas among musicians. This song offers an air of innocence to people in the movie, they're still young and naive. It soundtracks the coming-of-age perfectly. But that's my own humble opinion. Oh, and Joel Schumacher did a fine job on this, making it my favourite movie of the 80s! "[St. Elmo's Fire] is one of the defining movies of the Brat Pack genre" Wikipedia So it's gotta be true, right? :nod

From the 80s the best years of my life were 1984 and 1985, I was 15, and thanks for the memories of the best decade of the twenty century I missed those days and each day the get more far away. Sorry that vibe from the decade die in 1989.

I always thought Chariots of Fire was cool when I was a kid in the late 80's. But as I got older this melody really hit it home. Classic all the way. The 80's. When movies were original with great soundtracks juxtaposed in a time frame with nothing but just about as roundabout talented music legends!! Love my 80's. The decade ended but the esoteric mystique it set shall never die. Man those were the times to be in your twenties and I was just a kid. I loved Kerri Green then!!
