Wilyflier..believe you are referring to the group that included Keith and Jane Relf and Jim McCarty. They released a self titled album and Island, both back in the late 60's. Totally agree with you about live performances especially when they include Annie Haslam and her 5 octive range. Her voice moves you like no other!

Perhaps I am mistaken,It was Pentangle time, more like 40 years ago at the End of the 60s, before their first record, Rennaissance. 5 years later records seemed to have lost it a bit.The female singer sounded a lot different to me and half the group were new names

stiegy97291, ...I may have got the date a bit wrong,probably more like 40years,at the end of sixties before I went to the far East.The singer left a big impact on me/Their first record RennaissanceI think came out after the Croydon Gig / When I heard their later records many of the band had switched and I wasnt sure the girl singer sounded the same. But live concerts usually sound so much mor virile than diststant recorded stuff

I saw and heard Renaissence, live, at Croydon UK ,about 47 years ago,second backing to Canned Heat.Wonderful music, and very difficult to get to hear these days.
