Gil Scott is a brilliant poet. I would love to know what he would write about what is happening today with the energy crisis, Obama, and the politics in general. He has lived through alot. Get well Gil, you have lots of fans who love you.

I attended the show as well and it was the chance of a lifetime. He autographed his book for me and I will treasure it forever. His voice, message and sense of humor is amazing!!!

Gil Will be In ATL on Friday, July 5th!!!@ sugar Hill In the underground mall And I will be in the building!!! I have an original print of "The Mind Of Gil-Scott-Heron" that came w/ a poetry book....I need that signed so I can frame!!!

well, from what i read up on him, hes gotten charged for so many drugs and jailed... i wish he would stay clean and tour the states, i would love to hear that brilliant voice in my town, chat with him even

It is so sad to see such a talented man like Gil on drugs. Something that he has talked down on in his art! He is one of my biggest influenes! I wouldn't of never started writing poetry myself if it wasn't for this man. Get well soon my brother, I'll keep you in my prayers! |
