Come on, this ended her musical relationship with Gainsbourg. This was the 60's, I'm not at all surprised by her naivety. She was undoubtedly directed to act like that in front of the camera.

vous parlez d une epoque que vous n avez pas connue en fonction de ce qu 'est la societe actuellement je me souviens que tout le monde dans ma famille chantait cette chanson (moi y compris, j avais 7 ans!!!) et je puis vous assurer - mes parents etaient tres prudes - que personne n imaginait qu il y avait des allusions sexuelles, mais pas une seule seconde; ça ne nous empechait pas d etre tres heureux.

he made her sing it? you mean he forced her? gainsbourg wasn´t the most decent guy in the world but he proved to be the smartest. The lyrics are too obvious, if France Gall never realized what it was about she must be pretty stupid, dont blame Serge for that.
