that would be great for artists, as the multitouch would allow it to be a real electronic canvas. for other uses, a standard touchscreen, a webcam and bluetooth connectivity would make it completely possible. what makes it a even worst sucker is that apparently M$ has no intention to make it compatible with third party services and devices. serously, who cares about Live Spaces or Microsoft's cell phones also,

Will defenitly be a waist of money (lots of money). Also we can do all of this just not with a touch screen.

The credit card or cellphone that you put on the table would need an optical tag on the back. even if it did, I'm sure credit cards, bank cards, phones and anything else with important info would have enhanced security by the time this is available to your average consumer.... but like someone said, why are you putting cards on someone elses table?

the start, it brings an normal table top to life... e.g put that on ur table..

The functionality of this hardware relies on it being able to communicate with other devices and for users to be able to upload information to personal accounts and web applets on the Internet. If Microsoft only allows people to use Microsoft-based services and technology in conjunction with Surface they will be making a mistake. I know that I will not be buying a Microsoft phone any time in the near future.

Its just a large touchscreen, what's the big deal? Not amazing at all.
