Your right I'm never convinced that they would be capable of stopping when they are under a full load. So much mass, so much momentum, long braking distances. About the crash, I would like to know If the driver stayed in his seat sitting normally. I don't understand how his head didn't get crushed if he was sitting up right.

Technically it is a tractor trailer. Often called a truck tho, or 18 wheeler. This is America and we call it whatever we damn like and expect you call it what you like, only we aren't so damn bored to be nosing around your news to complain about what you call your shit nor so arrogant to expect you care that we care.
