omg, really??? well, then i have to say all the sentiment of this song isn`t worth a damn comming form him - speaking pretty is one, saying `lets do it together` sounds less poetic, but weighs a ton more!!

notions of beauty are very subjective.. i dont think jacques brel was ugly... he was just so intense in his performance... something lacking grandly in the young artists of today... jacques brel ne peut etre comparer a aucun autre artists... il est formidable...sa facon de chanter et tout... sublime... que d'emotions!

Just recently I had someone tell me they wished "not to find someone with whom they could live, but someone without whom they could not live!" The profoundness of this blew me away and rendered me speechless! THIS must be the deep sentiment Brel expresses here in his most riveting performance of his own composition!
