Quando Oscar Peterson accompagna i lenti e non e' in piena improvvisazione, e' come un pittore che dipinge la sua tela. E' come un poeta che scrive una poesia. Mitico, superbo, eccezionale.

This tune always reminds me of my sister Lorraine, also a Canadian. She is so sweet!!! This is the best version that I have ever heard with Nat, Oscar on piano and Coleman on sax....Leebm29

These old time greats seem to have played with such sincerity and modesty....it was truly about the music and not the ego or commercialism.

Many years ago I had an LP of Oscar Peterson singing his tribute to Nat King Cole. Oscar's voice had the same timbre as Nat's but not as pure - and this album was superb. I had heard that Oscar would not sing during Nat's lifetime because of the similarity in voices. ould love to know if anyone else ever heard it, if there was a chance of hearing it on a remake.

I know, one of the few good things to come from them, unfortunately I believe they had to drop the network due to lack of funding and viewership. |
