If you mean an AWP (Artic Warfare Police), then yes, as they are effectively the same gun.
L96 is the british designation for the gun, it's acctuall an Accuracy International AWM.

bc if he were to put it up over the bolt,the scope wouldnt be level with the barrel..in other words..he would have to crick his neck up to look down the scope.

It's a ZF-41. It's more of a sharpshooter's rifle than a sniper rifle. The zoom of a ZF-41 is only 2.5X and is more of a marksmanship aid (upgrade from iron sights) than anything else. Even in WWII, they were hardly issued and are very rare today.
