Dramacydal first appeared on the Tupac Shakur's 1995 Me Against the World, the Outlawz were on the title track "Me Against the World" and "Outlaw". Dramacydal was composed of K-Dog who later became Kastro, Young Hollywood who later became Yaki Kadafi, Mu who later became Napoleon, and Big Malcolm who later became E.D.I. Mean. The outlaw member, Yaki Kadafi, was part of an underground group Meeshka Productionz, which still exists, with active members Finhum and Pooz.
Bay Area rapper Ray Luv debuted in 1989 with the album Who Can Be Trusted? Aside from a handful of compilation tracks and cameo appearances, he was silent before resurfacing on Atlantic in 1995 with Forever Hustlin'; Coup d'Etat followed four years later.
Mobb Music is a style of West Coast rap music that began in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1980s to mid 1990s. The basic instrumental style is derived primarily from funk music, with a heavy focus on synthesizers, ultra low bass lines and Roland TR-808 drums. The lyrics tend to deal with same subject matter as G-funk did in Southern California, such as gang-oriented inner-city lifestyles and struggles.
The sound of Mobb Music could be attributed to a host of producers such as Sean T, Cellski, Ant Banks, JT the Bigga Figga, and Khayree. Other Bay Area hip hop artists that contributed greatly to the development of the music include Ray Luv, E-40, Too Short, Mac Dre, Dru Down, 2Pac, The Luniz and Spice 1, among many others.
