Ahem. There's good music being made out there today. Problem is, there are too few people who actually care about the authentic stance of the true artists. That's why so much crap makes it through and gets played on the radio. Most people seem to be happy with disposable pop. The good stuff is out there - you just have to dig a little deeper for it.
Josh Ritter is a good example. "The Temptation of Adam" is lyricly stunning. Closest thing to Dylan ever....

Wow, Scarlett Johansen in so hot.
And Dylan is so good.

I don't know. I think Nevermind, OK Computer, Black, and a handful of others can stand against whatever Dylan and Zep put out in the 70's. Certainly blow Mott the Hoople out of the water, for instance. It just takes a decade or two for the chaff to sift out.

I don't know if I agree with Dylan. There has been some decent albums put out recently: I.e. coldplay? I think while they are overplayed, their music is very beautiful.

I'm gonna listen to all the songs in Modern Time and find all the songs that discredit modern music. I will treasure every word, because they are the words of wisdom and acute observation.
As Dylan quoted, there hadn't bee a good record release for about 20 years (mostly just music that qualifies under "modern music"). It's time we put a stop to gay pop, rap/hip hop, and heavy metal once and for all. Let's enjoy the classics and bring the 70s back to life.
FUCK POP AND HIP HOP.

this song makes me think of lasting love, as opposed to most love songs, which seem more infatuation :)
