No, he didn't. Tikkanen was acquired mid-season. He just wanted to change to a high number. That was at the same time they got Mogilny, who was 89, and they were supposed to play together. But after 2 injury-plagued season, he changed back to 10.

went to a lot of games when bure played... loved him.. too bad the way he left van and the way the fans treated him.. like suire says though,, will always have the highlights..
