This Guinness World Record is true motorcycle madness! American Trigger Gumm, a member of Australia's 'Crusty Demons' motocross team jumped an awesome 84.5 m (277 ft 4 in) on a Honda CR500 on at the Queensland Raceway in Queensland, Australia on 14 May 2005.

Evel Knievel never jumped that far because he was basically on a street bike. That would be suicide. Also, his gigantic steel testicles would have weighed him down even more than his massive street bikes he used.

dont get me wrong, but the formula for distance is speed/time. Acceleration is speed * time. If you think of the units, distance is in m or ft, and acceleration is in m/s^2 or ft/s^2.

I believe that the best angle for the ramp to have would be 45 degrees; if you go any more than that you're squandering length potential on vertical (vs. horizontal) distance.
