this is closer to what it sounded like in the amphitheater that night. the mix for G4 was directly off the sound board.

yeah in the live performance, the violin was too quiet and the bass was too loud.

yeah, I find it is amazingly close to the original theme, and this is done by just 4 people. It sounds a bit better here than it did live though. apparently someone messed up the pitch in between this and the live performance, the violin is a bit louder here.

correct, and to add to upper posts, there was only a guitar in halo 2's theme.

The original actually had no guitars and violins besides its their version of the theme allow them to have a little creative liscence and do what they want to do.
