To answer irock730's question, if u convert data from any of the previous 4 installments (infection, mutation, etc.) u get an e-mail from Blackrose asking Kite if he was banned from the world after the party. The party being the one held by Helba in the final episode of .hack//sign. I think that the players behind Balmung and Orca were also banned. I know that Kite appears as a returning character in the new manga .hack//Link. Haseo also returns but now acts like the Terror of Death again.

Yeah, I knew that. I just call him Tri-edge for some reasom. Lol. Tri-edge is Ovan. Lol. But a three blades weapon IS called a Tri-edge, or a Rapier. I know that because of my uncle.

Actually Tri-Edge is another name for Ovan. Haseo only thought that Kite of the Azure Flame was Tri-Edge (who PKed Shino) because he appeared right after Ovan left (Kite was looking for Ovan to fight him). It was all just a big case of mistaken identity.
