dude that video was so cool man. i saw this list of the top 100 new wave artist that some kid probably threw together and i dont even think peter gabriel was in his top 10! he is by far the best new wave artist that kid had talking heads at number 1 thats bullshit peter gabriel is twice as good as talking heads not that i dont like the talking heads but peter gabriel is sick man i also like the psychedelic furs they have a more david bowie style though much different from peter gabriel

the chunky bass intro' at the beginning hints at what is to follo' in the rest. Clever use of wind intsruments(horns,etc.) suits the "steam" theme-frustration,tension. There is great alliteration,succinctness and poetry in the verses. He encapsulates his highly-strung mood with the double-entendré verses:- - "you know your stripper from your paint", you know your sinner from your saint." - you know your strait line,from....
